HOUSTON – A married couple had just arrived home from a night out when two males approached them, demanding the cellphones and money, Houston police said.
The robbery took place in the 5900 block of Elm Street in southwest Houston about 9:30p.m. Saturday.
While the wife struggled with one robber trying to take her cellphone, she heard multiple gunshots, said Houston police robbery violent offenders squad detective Ken Nealy. The husband was shot multiple times and transported to a local hospital, Nealy said.
The robbers fled with the couple's money and cellphones, Nearly said.
The husband's condition was not immediately released, Nealy Said.
