Man shot in apparent road rage

HOUSTON - Police said road rage was to blame for an early morning shooting in southwest Houston.

According to Houston Police, a driver in a pickup near the intersection of Fairview and Montrose was shot in the face Sunday.
Investigators said the bullet traveled through the windshield.

Investigators said two men were in the pickup truck when another vehicle, traveling the opposite direction, almost collided head-on.

According to witnesses the two drivers were flashing headlights at one another when suddenly the driver of the car backed up, got out and started shooting.

There were several people who witnessed the shooting, but police are still investigating.

The victim is in serious condition.
