Man robbed at gunpoint in driveway in Sugar Land

Victim says his Muslim faith made him unafraid

SUGAR LAND, Texas - Sugar Land police are looking for three men who robbed a man as he unloaded groceries in his driveway.

The man had just pulled up to his house around 10:30 p.m. Thursday when three men dressed in black ran out of a black SUV parked nearby. Police said they threatened the man with a gun and demanded his wallet.

"They snatched my phone from me. They wanted my wallet but I didn't have it in my pocket," said the victim.

Even with a gun pointed at him, the victim said his Muslim faith made him unafraid.

"I feel, there is no fear. If it's God's will, then it happens to me," he said. "Anything God wants will happen to me."

As the thieves sped away, the man ran inside the house and called 911 from his home phone.
