Man posts sign at busy intersection to find woman he saw there

HOUSTON - A Houston-area man is receiving dozens of calls and texts from complete strangers, after posting a sign at a busy intersection.

Adam Preslar, 41, was driving along U.S. 59 in his black truck last weekend, when he spotted a beautiful girl driving near him.  "She was really pretty," Preslar said.

They passed each other a few times and smiled, until they lost track of each other near U.S. 59 and Hwy. 242.  Since Preslar does not use social media and he didn't want to sit around and wait for the girl to drive through the intersection again, he decided to post a sign at 59 and 242, across the street from the "Flying J" truck stop.

The sign reads: "To the beautiful girl in the beige car, I'm the guy in the black truck.  Call me!"

Preslar then listed his phone number at the bottom of the sign.  Since posting it, he says he has received quite a few calls.  They're just not exactly the calls he was hoping for.  "A bunch of guys have called me," Preslar said.  "Some wanted to give me their daughter, one wanted to give me  his wife's phone number."

But he has received some heartfelt messages too.  One text he received read: "Wish you luck on finding your true love."

"I don't know if she's married or what not, but it would be cool to say hi and meet her," Preslar said.

At age 41 Preslar said he is recently single after a long-term relationship.  He says if he doesn't find the girl it's not the end of the world.  He just wanted to give it a whirl.  "Unless you try, you really don't know and I had nothing to lose," Preslar said.
