HOUSTON – A man was killed Tuesday when he was hit by a vehicle in southwest Harris County.
The crash was reported at 2:37 a.m. near the intersection of Bellaire Boulevard and Eldridge Parkway.

Harris County deputies said the man was hit in the eastbound lanes of Bellaire Boulevard and landed in a grassy area on the south side of the road. They said the vehicle that hit the man fled the scene.
Deputies said a passing driver found the man’s body.
Investigators said they are still trying to gather information about the vehicle that hit the man.
