HOUSTON – A 42-year-old man was killed in an accident at 8500 Gulf Freeway on Oct. 6 around 11:55 p.m.
Police said David Garcia was northbound in a gray Nissan Altima when he drove into a disabled brown Toyota Corolla that was parked on the shoulder.

Garcia died at the scene.
A woman and her daughter were standing outside the Corolla, and were not hurt. A boy, 8, and two girls, 11 and 17, were inside the Corolla when it was hit. All three were taken to the hospital. The girls suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The condition of the boy is not known at this time.
Houston police are still investigating the crash.
