HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Houston High Risk Operations Unit team responded to a hostage situation inside the Clear Creek Landing Apartments on Beamer Road Sunday morning.
Deputies were called to reports of a woman being assaulted around 2:15 a.m.
Two men were holding a woman in an apartment and deputies heard screaming inside.
Deputies tried to force entry but could not and called HROU to the scene to assist.
After a four-hour standoff, deputies used an explosive to make forced entry, fearing for the victim's life.
Around 6:30 a.m., the men came out and were taken into custody.
Deputies said the two men were brothers and one is the boyfriend of the victim.
The woman was unharmed.
The men are facing assault charges and possibly other outstanding charges.
