HOUSTON - Houston police are asking for help to find two drivers involved in a deadly hit-and-run early Thursday in northwest Harris County.

According to officers, Anthony Ruben Small, 41, was leaving Doctor's Hospital near the 500 block of West Tidwell at West Montgomery at 5:30 a.m. when a pickup truck and then a car hit him and fled the scene.

"He just left treatment," said Officer Pete Gonzalez with the Vehicular Crime Unit for HPD. "He was crossing the street, going to the bus stop. It was dark so possibly, the drivers didn't see him."

Even though it was dark, according to investigators, the first driver knew she hit something.

"The first driver stopped, then came back and pulled into the parking lot, stuck around for a little bit, and then left the scene. The driver was an African-American woman in her 50s driving a small Chevy S-10 truck," said Gonzalez.

Police will interview witnesses and go through surveillance video from the cameras outside of the hospital.

If you know anything call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
