Man charged with aggravated assault after road rage incident

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – A 50-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a second-degree felony, after a road rage incident on Monday, according to Harris County Pct. 4 Constable Deputies.

Officers responded to the 3500 block of Beltway 8 around 4 p.m. and talked to a person who described a road rage incident.

The person said that while he was driving on the beltway, Adrian Bernard Caldwell tried to force his way into the lane in which he was driving. The person said Caldwell got into the lane, so he decided to use the other lane to go around Caldwell. The person said that when he passed Caldwell, Caldwell was pointing a handgun, threatening him.

Police found Caldwell and his vehicle, and found a handgun that matched the person's description.

Caldwell was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond was set at $30,000.
