LA MARQUE, Texas – The La Marque Police Department is piecing together the clues after a pregnant woman was choked to death at an apartment in the 1200 block of Spruce. The woman’s boyfriend, 29-year-old Agustin Calderone, is behind bars in connection with her death.
Police said Stephanie Falcon was four months pregnant when she was strangled. According to investigators, Calderone was found and taken into custody for an unrelated charge not far from the apartment after police were called for reports of suspicious circumstances.

Calderone was later charged with capital murder. His bond has been set at $750,000.
