GALVESTON, Texas - A man caught a shark in Galveston and showed it off to a crowd.

Oscar Lopez was fishing off Stewart Beach Sunday afternoon when he reeled in the big catch.

Once people realized what it was, a crowd formed to check out the 20-inch-long shark.

Lopez said this is the first time he's ever caught a shark.

Galveston Beach Patrol said at this time of year, it's normal for both sharks and bottlenose dolphins to swim close to shore.

Fortunately, they have no reports of any shark attacks.
