HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A disabled veteran was attacked by two men during an attempted carjacking outside his apartment in north Harris County, officials said.
Deputies said the two men ran up to the victim about 9 a.m. while he was sitting in his car outside of his apartment at 101 Hollow Tree Lane.

Deputies said the would-be robbers pulled the man out of his car, and began kicking and beating him.
One of the men fired a shot at the car before fleeing without the car, officials said.
The two men were driving a blue Toyota, which officials said had been carjacked the day before near the same area.
The disabled man was taken to the hospital in stable condition and was discharged around 11 a.m.
