Man arrested in connection with deadly nightclub shooting, police say

HOUSTON – A man was arrested Wednesday in connection with the deadly nightclub shooting that left one dead and three injured on New Year’s Eve, police said.

The incident happened at Life Night Club in the 3500 block of Fannin Street.

Houston police said Herbert Lee Briscoe, 28, was charged with murder. He was accused of killing 25-year-old Kionn Oniel Lamothe and injuring Marvin Ray Hart Jr., 30, and Trstian Mouton, 28.

Police said several fights started in the club, which continued outside where shots were fired.

He is being held on $50,000 bail.
