Man accused of stealing Maserati

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - A man has been arrested in Harris County on accusations that he's behind a pricey car theft.

Robert Juan Turner, 27, is charged with theft. He is accused of stealing a Maserati with a value between $100,000 and $200,000 out of Georgia.

According to HPD, the car was stolen from a car dealership in Marietta, Georgia, when Turner grabbed the keys off a desk and drove the car off the lot.

Houston police say the sports car was spotted at around 1 a.m. July 21 in the 1900 block of Center Street, off the Washington Avenue Corridor.

HPD says Turner tried to register the car in Texas.

Turner was arrested on Monday. According to court documents, his bail is set at $200,000.
