LEAGUE CITY, Texas - Police have arrested a man accused of breaking into a home and touching a sleeping girl while wearing a mask.

According to authorities, Marco Alvarez, 29, wore a mask when he entered a home on Autumn Cove on July 24.

Investigators said he ran out of the home when he awoke a girl by touching her at 12:30 a.m.

David Fox, the girl's neighbor, said he had been alert after the incident, and eventually saw Alvarez at it again. This time, though, he was trying to get into Fox's sister's car.

"I stayed up a little later. Tried to help look for him. See who it was. Not 100 percent sure at the time," he said.

Fox said he remembers thinking the masked man looked familiar.

"It's not an easy case to solve," said League City spokesperson Kristi Wyatt.

Police said they were able to solve it with the help of Fox and his 911 call.

"The good thing about this is we were able to get information about the person's description and the neighbors were on alert. They were watching out for the person in the neighborhood because they wanted to protect their homes and their children," Wyatt said.

Alvarez is charged with burglary of a habitation and criminal trespassing. He is being held in Galveston County Jail on $47,500 bond.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement said it also planned to question Alvarez.
