PEARLAND, Texas - A mail carrier was robbed at gunpoint while he was doing his job, investigators said.

Pearland police said the mail carrier was approached as he was making deliveries in the area of Shady Brook near Ashbrook in the Shadow Creek Ranch area shortly after noon on Monday.

The mail carrier gave the robber his wallet, police said. The robber took the cash out of the wallet and ran away, investigators said.

The robber was described as black, in his 20s and tall. He was last seen wearing a black sweatsuit.

Police said they suspect the same man robbed another person less than three hours later.

An armed man demanded that victim's wallet, police said. The attacker fled on foot after that robbery, investigators said.

The robber in the second incident was described as black, in his 20 and about 6 feet 3 inches tall with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black pants, a hat and a bandana.
