HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Two Klein ISD schools were temporarily placed on lockdown while authorities searched for a suspect in the area.

According to Precinct 1 deputies, a suspect pointed a gun at an officer in the 4700 block of West Mt. Houston, then took off running into a wooded area near two schools.

Klein Intermediate School and Nitsch Elem School were immediately placed on lockdown as a safety precaution, and additional officers were brought in to secure the area.

The lockdowns have since been lifted, but the suspect has not been taken into custody at this time.
