Authorities are searching for two suspects driving a Chevy pickup

TOMBALL, Texas - Authorities are searching for two suspects responsible for Sunday's hit and run crash in Montgomery County.

Officials said a woman died and a teenage passenger was critically injured in the crash that happened around 11 p.m. Sunday in the 24500 block of Hardin Store Road.

When crews arrived, they found 49-year-old Aurora Garcia deceased in the front seat of her 1996 Toyota sedan.

Authorities said the 17-year-old passenger was in the passenger seat. He was taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition.

DPS Trooper Kenneth Hebert said a 2000 Chevrolet pickup was traveling westbound on Hardin Store Road when it failed to negotiate a curve and slammed head-on into the sedan.

According to reports, authorities quickly learned the Chevy pickup had fled the scene. Law enforcement officials set up a perimeter to locate the two suspects, but were unable to locate them.

As authorities continue investigating, anyone with information about this crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
