MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas – Montgomery County deputies have arrested a registered sex offender accused of trying to meet a 15-year-old girl for sex.
Authorities say Stanley Haney contacted a 15 year-old girl via Facebook. The mother of the girl became suspicious and alerted deputies.

Deputies said they took control over the girl's Facebook page and continued to talk to Haney on-line.
The conversation between Haney and the girl, according to deputies, quickly became vulgar. At one point, deputies said Haney detailed the sexual acts he wanted to perform on her.
The undercover deputy and Haney set up a time to meet at a local grocery store. Detectives said Haney thought he was meeting the girl, but instead, he was met by deputies who arrested him.
Haney has been charged with two counts of online solicitation of a minor. In 2000, Haney was sentenced to five years in prison for indecency with a seven-year-old girl.
