Montgomery County man accused of shooting wife

MONTGOMERY COUNTY – A Montgomery County man is accused of shooting his wife, according to the sheriff's office

Montgomery County officials said they received a 911 call from a home on Thursday at 1:30 a.m. from a man who said he shot his wife in the head.

According to deputies, when they arrived to the home in the 30600 block of Towering Oaks, Christopher Cormier came out of the house and surrendered.

His wife, Lisa, was found inside the home with a gunshot wound to the head. She was airlifted to the hospital in critical condition.

Cormier is charged with aggravated assault and is being held at the Montgomery County Jail.

Detectives said an argument led up to the shooting.
