MONTGOMERY COUNTY – After 11 days on the run, Montgomery County Jail escapee Britt Privatte is back in custody, Sheriff Tommy Gage said.
In a statement, Gage said Privatte was captured with the help of the Texas Rangers, the U.S. Marshall's Office and the Harris County Sheriff's Office just after midnight Thursday.

Privatte was spotted walking from a hotel on I-45 and Cypresswood Drive.
When deputies approached, he ran into a wooded area, investigators said. K-9 officers were called in to track him.
Privatte was found hiding in a tree, according to deputies He jumped from the tree and continued to run. Eventually, a police dog caught up with him and held him until deputies could arrest him.
Privatte was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for a dog bite, and then transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's office said that while investigating Privatte's escape, 11 inmates were charged with hindering the apprehension and tampering with evidence. More charges against those inmates are pending, deputies said.
Investigators said Privatte escaped on March 17. Deputies said he scaled a recreation yard wall, busted through the fence and escaped from the roof of the facility.
He was arrested by Houston police on Jan. 7, in connection to a bank robbery in Kingwood. He was charged with burglary of a habitation, aggravated robbery and escape while arrested.
He faced a new charge Thursday -- felony evading. It came with a $1 million bond, according to the Montgomery County Jail website.
