MCSO: Chase ends with gunshots and foot chase inside mall

Investigators: 2 arrested, weapon recovered inside mall

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – A police chase through Montgomery County ended at The Woodlands Mall with two 18-year-olds in custody.

According ot DPS, the men were in a stolen truck.

Anfernee Jamal Griffin and Travosky DeCarlo Bullock are facing multiple charges including evading arrest and resisting arrest.

"I saw about five officers and a mounted patrol and a parked car. I was wondering what was going on," said Bill Foltyn, who works near the mall. Normally, it's pretty safe around here. It's just kind of surprising to see that after a long day of work.

Shots were fired at the driver of the stolen truck in an attempt to get them to stop. After getting at least one flat tire, the driver and passenger ditched the vehicle at The Woodlands Mall and ran inside to try and escape.

Both men were captured inside the mall after a short foot chase.

"I didn't know The Woodlands was like that," Foltyn said. "Expansion causes crime rates."

The two teenagers have a total of seven charges against them.

No injuries were reported, but DPS officials say a pistol was found at the scene.
