5 injured in hit and run accident

Police say driver took off on foot

SPRING, Texas – Five people were injured in a hit and run accident in northeast Harris County.

Around 11 p.m. Saturday, Harris County constables responded to a major car crash on Aldine Westfield Road near Spring Creek Drive.  When they arrived at the intersection, constables found a Jeep and a Cadillac had been involved in a collision.

According to reports, the Cadillac slammed into the side of the Jeep.

There were five people in the Jeep at the time of the crash, including a child.  Emergency crews transported all five to local hospitals.  They are expected to survive, though one passenger is in serious condition.

Constables said the driver of the Cadillac fled the scene on foot and has not been apprehended.

The names of the victims have not been released.
