Suspect tased during attempted break-in at printing business

HARRIS COUNTY – A suspect was caught breaking into a printing business in north Harris County.

It happened around 5:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 500 block of West Gulf Bank Road near the North Freeway.

Officials said an employee going to work noticed a suspicious man that looked like he was breaking into the back of the building. 

The employee called 911 and a Harris County sheriff's deputy arrived and confronted the suspect. 

Officials said the suspect resisted when the deputy tried to take him into custody and a scuffle began.

Houston police and other deputies soon arrived to help.

Authorities said the deputy used his Taser to get the suspect under control. 

Paramedics looked over the suspect and bandaged cuts on the hand of the deputy.

The suspect was taken to jail.
