Houston – A Houston Independent School District teacher is held behind bars, accused of having sex with a teenager.
North Forest teacher Dane Weatherford, 42, has been charged with sexual assault of a child between the ages of 14 and 17.

Court documents said Weatherford began having sex with the teen back in April. The relationship continued until September. The alleged victim was not a student at the school.
Weatherford apologized to the court for what he is accused of doing but did not answer questions about the accusations. His bond was set at $30,000.
HISD released a statement saying, "HISD learned this weekend about the arrest of a North Forest High School teacher following an investigation by the Harris County Sheriff's Office. The employee was immediately removed from the classroom pending the outcome of an investigation. We take situations such as this very seriously, and we are cooperating fully with law enforcement officials."
