Man in wheelchair hit by 3 different cars

Deputies search for hit-and-run drivers

HOUSTON – A man is dead after being hit by three different cars in Northeast Harris County.

It happened Friday around 11:45 p.m. on the the 13400 block of Homestead Road.

According to Harris County deputies a man was attempting to cross Homestead in a motorized wheelchair when he was hit by the first car.

Deputies say the car initially stopped, but then fled the scene.

Two more vehicles also struck the man. One stopped, one did not.

Deputies said they have received calls in the past reporting the man obstructing traffic in the roadway.

Officers believe the car that initially struck the man will have some damage to the front end. 

No witnesses at the scene were able to give a description of the vehicle.
