HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - Two people were hospitalized early Wednesday morning after a brawl ended in gunfire at a northwest Harris County sports bar, deputies say.

The fight started around 2 a.m. at the Time Out #4 Sports Bar on the North Freeway and Barren Springs Drive, according to deputies.

Investigators say the fight started inside the bar after one group of men started hitting on a girl that was in a relationship with someone from a second group.

HCSO say the men started fighting inside the club and the brawl spilled out into the parking lot.

According to investigators, one of the males in the bigger group pulled out a gun and shot two of the men in the smaller group.

Deputies say the victims' friend feared for their safety and drove them to the Portofino Landing Apartments on Cypress Station Drive and Rustyleaf Lane to call 911.

EMS crews rushed the men to the hospital. Both suffered injuries to their lower extremities, but are expected to survive, HCSO say.

Deputies say they will be back at the sports bar this morning to see if there is surveillance video that can help them track down the gunman.
