Deputies searching for bank robber in northwest Harris county

HCSO: Thief passed note to teller claiming he had gun

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A brazen bank robber held up a northwest Harris county bank just hours before it was set to close.

The robbery happened at the First Convenience Bank inside a Joe V's grocery store on Antoine Drive and Veterans Memorial Drive around 5:24 p.m. Tuesday.

Deputies said the robber took off with the cash after passing a note to the teller claiming he had a weapon.

Police have not said whether they believe he's connected to any other robberies in the area

The robber is described as a White male, in his 20's, approximately 5 foot 6and 200 pounds.  He was wearing a black jacket, black beanie and dark sunglasses.
