Deputies: 23 suspected prostitutes and 76 'johns' arrested

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Undercover deputies with the Harris county sheriff's office arrested 23 suspected prostitutes and 76 "johns" in two and a half weeks.

One of the alleged customers, Isiah Carden, of Spring, was charged with a prostitution misdemeanor.

Carden, 46, is an agricultural specialist for U.S. Customers and Border Protection.

The arrests were part of the National Day of Johns Arrests campaign.

The campaign started in 2011 in Cook County, Illinois.

The national total of arrests between July 17 and Aug. 3 included 496 customers and 14 "pimps" or traffickers.
