10 acres burned in large grass fire in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY – Fire officials said 10 acres burned in a large grass fire in northwest Harris County on Monday.

Officials said the fire started burning around 11:45 a.m. near State Highway 6 and Addick Satsuma.

Fire officials said no evacuations were ordered and the fire was put out before it reached a nearby apartment complex. Officials told Local 2 the fire was 100 feet from the apartment complex.

Authorities said multiple crews were called in to assist the Cy-Fair volunteer fire department.

The fire is under investigation.
