Police arrest man in connection with 2 armed robberies

GALVESTON, Texas – Galveston police arrested a man investigators said committed at least two robberies at gunpoint.

The first robbery robbery happened Friday night on 26th Street and Avenue Q around 11:30 p.m in Galveston.

Shortly after, investigators said Terrance Watkins, along with a group of other men, robbed three other men on Borden Avenue and 56th Street.

The victims in that robbery chased the suspected robbers, police said.

According to investigators, Watkins was identified by both sets of victims and was arrested.

Watkins is charged with two counts of aggravated robbery, a first degree felony for the use of a firearm during the robbery.

His total bond was set at $120,000.
