FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas - A man wanted for the armed robbery of an East Bernard-area convenience store has been arrested.

The 16-year-old male suspect, who has not been identified because he's a juvenile, entered the Riverside Drive-Inn in the 14400 block of Highway 90A and held the clerk at gunpoint on May 2, according to deputies. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt across his face and had a red T-shirt covering the top of his head.

The suspect got away with a bag of cash.

Deputies say evidence led detectives to the getaway vehicle driven by the suspect and eventually he turned up in New Braunfels. He was apprehended by the New Braunfels Police Department and turned over to Comal County Juvenile Detention.

The teen was brought back to Fort Bend County on Monday and is in the Fort Bend County Juvenile Detention Center. He will face charges of aggravated robbery and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
