Stranger offers girl ride in Cinco Ranch subdivision

KATY – The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office has issued a community crime watch alert to warn residents of a suspicious person who was spotted in the Cinco Ranch Subdivision.

Deputies say a white man between the ages of 50 to 60 with grey hair and facial wrinkles offered a young girl a ride around 7:45 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 2, at Morning Park Drive.

He was driving a 2005 or 2006 white Toyota Tacoma with a Texas handicap license plate and a breast cancer awareness sticker on the tailgate.

Deputies later learned of a similar incident where another girl was approached by a stranger.

This girl was walking home from the bus stop near Morning Park Drive when a white pickup truck started following her on Aug. 29 around 3:15 p.m. The girl's father saw the truck following her and as he walked towards his daughter, the vehicle sped off.

Fort Bend County Special Crimes Detectives are investigating both incidents.

If you have information on the suspect, contact the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477). Information leading to an arrest could earn you up to a $5,000 reward.
