Police in Richmond are searching for a man accused of trying to buy merchandise with counterfeit bills at a pharmacy.

RICHMOND, Texas – Police in Richmond are searching for a man accused of trying to buy merchandise with counterfeit bills at a pharmacy.

Around 12:40 in the afternoon on June 17, investigators say the man went into the Walgreens on Jackson Street and Collins Road and tried to purchase several gift cards and other merchandise.

Detectives say the man handed the cashier several $100 bills to pay for the items but noticed the bills looked suspicious.

The manager of the store called police and the man fled, police said.

He is described as a white male, balding, approximately 30 years of age, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
