LAKE JACKSON, Texas – There is a new clue in the violent attack of an elderly couple in a Hobby Lobby parking lot.
Lake Jackson police released dashcam video showing the two robbers walk in front of an officer's car just before the attack.
The violent attack happened just before 4 p.m. July 15 when the husband and wife in their 80s opened their car door to head home on Highway 332 West and Highway 288 in Lake Jackson, Brazoria County.
Investigators said one of the two robbers managed to get into the unlocked car and once the woman realized what was going on she started to scream.
"The female had actually bitten the hand of one of the males as he attempted to cover her mouth so she couldn't scream," Chief Rick Park with the Lake Jackson police department said.
