Houston area hosting nation’s largest Select Baseball tournament with 1,000 teams playing over 4 days

PG Super NIT Started Friday night and runs through Monday

HOUSTON – Thousands of baseball players from across the nation and Texas have descended on the Greater Houston area for what is known at the Perfect Game Super NIT.

The four-day tournament has 1,000 teams taking part with players from several states including New Jersey, Florida, California, Nevada, Louisiana and Texas.

The tournament got underway Friday night and runs through Monday with several age groups and multiple divisions seeing action on diamonds around our area.

Not only is the tourney viewed as one of the premier select tournaments of the year in the U.S., but it also translates to millions for our local economy.

The Super NIT in Houston has become a tradition in recent years with the tourney consistently being played the first week of March.
