Man found in possession of meth, mushrooms, and marijuana during traffic stop in Fayette County, deputies say

HOUSTON – A man was arrested after several drugs were seized during a traffic stop Monday night in Fayette County, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

The driver, Thomas Joshua Isbell, 41, of Deerpark, was charged with felony possession of a controlled Substance and Marijuana.

The traffic stop was conducted on a 1998 Volkswagen Beetle passenger car around 10:50 p.m. on I-10 eastbound at the 674 MM near Schulenburg, deputies said. During the stop, when the deputy made contact with Isbell, he saw methamphetamines, mushrooms, THC pens, 27 jars of THC wax, THC hash, marijuana, alprazolam and diazepam pills.

Isbell was arrested and taken to the Dan R. Beck Justice Center.
