Mother dies after being shot at nearly 50 times while pulling into her garage, deputies say

HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a 31-year-old mother was shot to death in west Harris County.

The shooting happened just before 6 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Appletree Hill Lane between Barker Cypress and Greenhouse roads, authorities said.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the woman was pulling into her garage after getting off work from a gentlemen’s club in the Galleria area when one or multiple people opened fire on her nearly 50 times.

The woman was shot multiple times and was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.

Deputies said a suspect in a dark-colored sedan fled the scene. Investigators are working to get a search warrant for the residence.
