LIST: Food and water distribution sites in the Houston area

HOUSTON – Several food and water distribution sites have opened in the Houston area in the wake of the recent winter storms.

Various distribution sites pop up daily, so please keep checking this list if you’re in need.

Please note this list will be updated as new sites are announced and closed.

State Sen. Carol Alvarado host free food distribution

On March 3, Sen. Alvarado will host a food distribution at 10 a.m. at Bellfort Church of Christ, 6606 Bellfort Ave, Houston, TX 77087. He asks for residents to stop by if they are in need of food.

Food will be distributed until supplies last and ask for people to stay in their vehicle during distribution.

City of Houston, NACC

NACC Disaster Services (NACC) is partnering with the City of Houston and Mayor Sylvester Turner, the Teamsters union and AFL-CIO to hold a drive-through distribution.

The distribution will include food, water, meal kits, pillows, and cups. The event is open to the public for as long as supplies last.

The drive-through distribution will start at 1 p.m., Sunday, February 28 at the NACC headquarters located at 16605 Air Center Blvd. Houston, TX 77032.

Houston Humane Society

The Houston Humane Society is hosting several Pet Pantry events serving pet food and supplies for all those pet owners affected by the Texas winter storm. The Pet Pantry drive-thru is open to anyone and no pre-registration is required. Pet owners will receive free pet food, supplies, and information on additional resources such as the Houston Humane Society’s free spay/neuter program.
