Police searching for thieves who hit victim with AR-style pistol during robbery, authorities say

HOUSTON – A search is underway for two men wanted in connection with an aggravated robbery.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. on Dec. 14 in 18700 block of John F. Kennedy Boulevard, police said.

According to authorities, a person was loading some items into their vehicle when they were approached by two armed men who demanded the victim get on the ground. The victim refused, so one of the thieves hit the person in the head with an AR-style pistol, police said.

Police said the victim then tried to run away, but the second suspect caught up and tackled the victim to the ground and stole the victim’s wallet and money before fleeing the scene in a white Dodge Challenger and a gray Toyota Camry.
