Lee High School employee suspended after photo of sex act surfaces

HOUSTON – An employee with the Houston Independent School District has been suspended after a photograph surfaced on social media allegedly showing her engaged in a sex act with a student at Lee High School.

Many students saw the photo after it was posted on Instagram last week. It purports to show a school clerical worker engaged in sexual activity with a male student.

The photograph has since been taken down, but students said it's still circulating via text message.

One girl showed it to KPRC 2 News on Tuesday.

"They were sending it to everyone," she said.

On Friday, school administrators suspended the employee. A recorded message was sent out Monday to parents which said in part, "An allegation of inappropriate conduct has been levied against a school employee. Upon learning of the allegation, the employee was immediately removed from campus and is being temporarily reassigned while HISD police conduct a full investigation."

Terrance Sands, a parent who said he hasn't seen the photograph, said he's angry about it.

"They should get shot for it," he said.

HISD police are investigating. Potential charges in the case range from improper relationship with a student to sexual assault of a child.
