KFC facing $10 million lawsuit after former employee claims sexual assault by manager

HOUSTON – The lawsuit says it happened 50 to 100 times, anywhere and everywhere.

"Any place that had a surface," attorney Benjamin Hall said.

Sexual acts between a 16-year-old employee and her 35-year-old manager. Attorney Benjamin Hall says it happened in the prep area inside the North Harris County store, at nearby hotels, inside cars, and even behind a dumpster.

"He is a despicable person," Hall said.

The $10 million lawsuit also names KFC Corporation and other managers at the store, saying they "aided and abetted in his wrongful conduct."

"There was a private pact that was entered into between the managers that covered up, which they did because other managers were engaging in the same conduct, having sex with 16-year-olds and 17-year-olds," Hall said.

Hall said this came out after his recent lawsuit against Chipotle.

"It seems to be the tip of the iceberg. It's almost like we have tapped into a reality," Hall said.

Hall said it was a similar case with a manager preying on a minor; a case he won for $7 million.

He said it seems that case is unearthing many more, saying that sort of environment is dangerous for unsuspecting minors.

"They're assuming that people in authority positions are going to be upstanding an honorable, and unfortunately, these predators are finding themselves in these entry level positions in a supervisory role, and taking advantage of these immature, naive minors," Hall said.

We are not naming the defendant in this case, because he has not been charged with a crime.

However, Hall said they are asking the Harris County Sheriff's Office to investigate.

KFC Corporate released the following statement regarding the lawsuit:

“At KFC, we go to great lengths to create a safe work environment for our employees. While we cannot comment on pending litigation, the manager accused in this case has not been a KFC employee for some time."
