Katy ISD board appoints acting superintendent after Lance Hindt resigns

KATY, Texas – During a Katy Independent School District board meeting, trustees voted to appoint an acting superintendent Monday.

Deputy Superintendent Ken Gregorski will start on Dec. 1 and he will fill the position until a permanent district leader is appointed. Katy ISD former Superintendent Lance Hindt, who resigned after bullying allegations, will work closely with Gregorski and the Board until his retirement in January.

“My fellow Trustees and I believe that Katy ISD needs a leader who will continue to support the high-quality leadership within, maintain our standard of student excellence, and advance the groundwork that has already been laid,” said Board President Courtney Doyle. 

Gregorski has 26 years of experience in Education, including being a classroom teacher, assistant principal, principal, assistant superintendent.

The Katy ISD Board members continue to search for a superintendent in the meant time.
