KENOSHA COUNTY, Wis. – It was a new call for Kenosha County, Wisconsin, first responders -- kangaroo on the loose.
Joey, a 5-year-old kangaroo, somehow got out of his enclosure at the Jerry Smith Pumpkin farm and headed out onto the rural county roads.
Firefighters and sheriff's deputies clearing a call just down the road responded to a call from Somers Fire Chief Carson Wilkinson, who saw the marsupial in the road.
"I just looked at it and thought I'm losing my mind ... there's no kangaroos around here," Wilkinson said.
Moments later, Deputy Nicole Sorensen came across Joey.
