Isaac evacuees head to Texas

BAYTOWN, Texas - In Baytown, the parking lot of the La Quinta Inn and Suites is full of cars with Louisiana license plates.
Many people chose to get on I-10 and head towards Texas when the storm threatened their area.
"It was bit nuts," said New Orleans resident Alan Barreca. "We decided to go early and beat the traffic."

Barreca and his girlfriend left New Orleans on Sunday night and stayed one night in Lafayette before continuing on to Baytown.

They said traffic on I-10 was a breeze because they left so early.

"We looked at the cone of uncertainty and thought, how far west do we have to go to miss that cone?" he said.

Barreca plans to stay in Texas until at least Thursday.
