CHAMBERS COUNTY, Texas - Two deputies from Chambers County were arrested for falsifying documents and misusing information, authorities said.

After a thorough investigation by the Internal Affairs Unit of the Chambers County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division, felony warrants were filed charging Charles Culp and Tracy Rogers with misuse of official information. The charge is classified as a 3rd degree Felony.

Culp is a former Chambers County sheriff's deputy and jail supervisor, and Rogers was a commissioned correctional officer who was also assigned to the jail. Rogers is currently on suspension pending the outcome of the investigation.

"This administration is doing what we said we wanted to do, and that is to bring integrity back to the Chambers County Sheriff's Office," said Sheriff Brian Hawthorne.

Both former officers turned themselves in at the Chambers County Jail and are awaiting arraignment.
