In-N-Out announces latest location to open in Katy

KATY, Texas – It's happening -- another location of In-N-Out in the Houston area is planned to open in 2019.

According to In-N-Out's California-based corporate office, the restaurant is planned to be built on the northeast corner of Katy Fort Bend Road and the I-10 frontage, just outside of 99.

Though the company could not provide an exact open date, its officials said it could open as soon as five-to-six months from the build project's start date.

In-N-Out announced the opening of another location in Stafford in September.

A company spokeswoman said in a statement:

"We do have a site we are working on in Katy, TX located on the Northeast corner of Katy Ft. Bend Road and the I-10 frontage, although the project is still in the early stages. While we’re really enthusiastic about the site and the opportunity in Katy, as I mentioned, we’re still early in the process so it would be premature to comment on a timeline or if we will even achieve a development approval. Once we begin construction on a new location it usually takes us 4 to 5 months to build a restaurant and open for business. I’m sorry I can’t be more specific about an opening date for Katy at this time but I’d hate to make a speculative guess and possibly wind up misleading your viewers if that guess was wrong. "
