Illegal game room shut down by Precinct 4 constables

Officials with the Harris County Precinct 4 Office shut down the Gold 7 Game Room on Friday.

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - An undercover investigation by the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office led to the discovery of an illegal gambling hall.

A search warrant was served Friday and multiple gambling devices and other gambling paraphernalia was confiscated.

The game room was on the 11200 block of Veterans Memorial Drive in northwest Harris County.

Authorities arrested the game room's attendant and a security guard at the scene. The security guard is identified as 45-year-old Cramond Johnson. He was charged with a game-room violation of requiring a membership - a Class A misdemeanor.

Johnson is being held on $1,500 bond. The attendant faces charges of possession of a gambling device, equipment or paraphernalia.
