HPD: Two dead in shooting outside gas station in SW Houston

HOUSTON - Two people were shot and killed outside a gas station Wednesday evening and police are searching for the gunman.

Investigators tell us two groups of people got into an argument in the parking lot of the gas station on Fondren and Main.

That's when police say someone opened fire on the other car. Police tell us two people were hit. One of the men died instantly.

The other took off running, and collapsed a short time later. He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses stated the suspect fled in a dark grey, four-door, early 2000 Honda Accord, traveling inbound on South Main, according to police.

Investigators have not said what lead up to the shooting.

The identities of the male victims are pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
