HPD: Suspects ambush, shoot cook at Little Bitty Burger Barn in NW Houston

HOUSTON - Houston police are searching for two suspects who held up and shot the cook of a fast food restaurant in northwest Houston early Wednesday.  Part of the incident was captured on surveillance video.

The cook at the Little Bitty Burger Barn said he was leaving the restaurant in the 5500 block of Pinemont around 12:30 a.m. when he was ambushed by two men.

The employee said the suspects caught him while he was attempting to lock the door, then pushed him back inside the place.

Once inside, the suspects held up the cook and shot him.

The cook was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
